Choose by how many invoices and receipts you handle in a typical month. Moving between plans changes only the allowance.

One hour of data entry a week, automated, pays for any paid plan many times over. Once it launches, the Free plan lets you check that on your own workbook before paying anything.
What every plan includes
- PDF and photo invoices and receipts, dragged in one at a time or in batches, up to 30 pages and 10 MB per document.
- Layout learning. It reads your
.xlsxor.xlsmworkbook and explains its layout in plain English for you to confirm. - Cell-level preview and approval of every entry before it is written.
- Verification on a copy of your workbook first, with checks that block a bad write.
- Timestamped backups before every write; the five most recent are kept.
- Duplicate protection. An invoice already in the book is refused.
- Your workbook stays on your computer. Only the invoice document and a masked layout summary are sent to be read. What leaves your computer, in full.
How the monthly allowance works
- One invoice is one document read. Learning or re-learning your workbook layout does not count.
- Refusals are free. A request refused for size, for the allowance, or because of an error on our side does not count.
- It resets each billing period. Unused invoices do not carry over. On the Free plan the month runs from the date you signed up.
- A lapsed plan falls back to Free. If a subscription is cancelled, past due or unpaid, the account keeps working at 10 invoices a month.
- Fair-use limits apply to every account: 60 requests a minute and 500 a day.
Planned after launch
These are not available at launch, and no plan includes them yet:
- Planned: forwarding invoices to a dedicated email address.
- Planned: connecting Gmail or Outlook directly.
- Planned: a Windows version of the app.

Pricing questions
Is there a free plan?
At launch, yes. The Free plan will include 10 invoices every month, with no credit card and no end date. It has every feature the paid plans have; only the monthly allowance is smaller.
What counts as an invoice?
One processed invoice is one document sent to be read, whether it is a PDF or a photo. Learning or re-learning your workbook layout does not count, and neither does a request that is refused because of size, the allowance, or an error on our side.
What happens when I reach my monthly allowance?
The app stops reading new invoices until your next billing period starts, or until you move to a larger plan. Nothing already in your workbook is affected, and unused invoices do not carry over.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan needs no card. You add payment details only when you choose a paid plan, and billing runs through Stripe, so General Invoices never sees or stores your card number.
What happens if I cancel?
You can change or cancel a plan at any time from the billing portal in the app. A cancelled or unpaid subscription drops the account to the Free allowance of 10 invoices a month. It is never locked.
Which plan do bookkeepers need?
Pick by volume across the books you run. General Invoices works with one workbook at a time: open a client's book from the File menu, enter that client's invoices, then open the next. Firms with many client workbooks can ask for a custom plan.
Why is it priced by invoices instead of per user?
The value is the typing it removes, and that scales with documents rather than seats. Pick the plan that matches how many invoices and receipts you handle in a typical month.
